Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) the new and advanced engineering university is located
in Tronoh, Perak on a 1000 acre land. This development consists of signallin building, academic buildings, hostels, mosque,
sports complex, R&D centres.
The first phase of the academic building was completed by
December 2002 and the signalling building was completed by December 2003.
The whole development were designed with the latest mechanical and electrical technology ie. intelligent
building with energy saving features as well as pre-plan infrastructure design, using underground utility tunnel to link all
the buildings.
The chilled water and power supply to this development is direct from cogeneration / district cooling plant.
The total capacity required is 6000RT chilled water and 11MW for power. Chilled water metering station and 11 KV substations
are build to complete the power and chilled water energy taken from cogeneration / district cooling plant.
